Remember a quiet woodland walk with my "Buck in the Oak Trees" art print. This piece brings the peace atmosphere of a green forest into your home, capturing the serenity of the wilderness and a deer eating grass. The brush strokes of the trees were inspired by the tapestries at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston. The scene is from my family home in Portola Valley, California.
Printed on high-quality archival paper, each print is carefully crafted, signed, and expertly printed by me, ensuring its authenticity and adding a personal touch to your collection.
Choose between framed or unframed art. Our carefully-selected frames, made from sustainably-sourced solid maple, offer a refined ready-to-hang presentation that complements the artwork. Alternatively, the unframed prints are available in standard sizes, making it easy for you to choose your own frame. Custom sizes are also available upon request.
This piece pairs well with my Deer in Forest art print: https://joreyhurley.etsy.com/listing/1671123462
To ensure the safe delivery of your art print, our studio takes great care in packaging. Each print is protected with waterproof plastic and securely shipped in sturdy cardboard. Framed prints measuring 25"x31" are currently available for shipping within the US only.
Bring the beauty of the forest into your home with our "Buck in the Forest" art print, a timeless addition to any wall.

All art in my shop is drawn by me, Jorey Hurley, and printed by me in my studio.
Yes. Custom coloring starts at $50 in addition to the base price of the art. The only exception to this is customization of skin and hair color. I want everyone to be able to see themselves in my art so there is no cost to changing skin or hair color. I no longer draw custom artwork, but I often make several studies before posting a piece of art, so I may have other versions in my archive. Message me your specific request and I will see what I have.
No. While I often sketch or explore other mediums for inspiration, the artwork as shown in my shop is ultimately a digital-first creative process with multiple prints. For certain avid collectors, I have made a one-of-a-kind piece for which they will have the only print, but this is the rare exception. If you are interested in a one-of-a-kind print, please reach out to me directly.
Yes, for unframed prints. If you'd like a custom size, please order the next size up (for example if you'd like an 11x14 inch unframed print please order the 16x20 inch unframed print) and provide the paper dimensions you want in the box for notes at checkout. I'll confirm your customization when the order comes through and then re-size the image and trim down the paper to your specifications.
Yes. The unframed 8x10 inch and 16x20 unframed prints are made to fit standard sized frame openings. Always best to check the dimensions of the specific frame that you are considering to make sure it will appear you intend. The dimensions of the print are edge-to-edge dimensions (e.g. an unframed 8x10 is an 8 inch by 10 inch piece of paper) and include a white border around the edge.
No, I only use solid maple frames here in the studio (the wood frames shown in the listing photos). I love that they’re made from sustainably-farmed wood and that I can reliably ship them to arrive in pristine condition, ready-to-hang. I believe the work looks great in other frames as well, which is why you will see other frame colors in some of the studios lifestyle photos. I recommend framebridge.com for custom framing and Room & Board for ready-made frames.
No. My shop only sells prints on museum-quality, cold press paper printed here in my studio. The only way my art is available digitally is for three specific pieces (Woman Swimming, Flowers in a Garden, Golden Gate Bridge) available on the Samsung Frame TV (not for printing). For all of my art I maintain the rights to reproduction and licensing of the work.
I will provide a replacement and will give you a prepaid return shipping label to send back the damaged piece.
I can either refund you in full or I can send a replacement, whichever you prefer.
I print on museum quality cold press paper, which may curl slightly in humid environments without adequate air conditioning.
